OnePlus 7T pro McLaren Edition
Hello Everyone, Today I am talking about OnePlus 7T pro McLaren edition,
About OnePlus And Its New Edition Phone (McLaren Edition)
Over the last couple of years, OnePlus has generated a commendable amount of brand equity. so much so that anyone who was looking to buy a smartphone under Rs 40,000 could blindly just pick up the latest OnePlus handset that was selling in the market with a promise of value for money device. With this approach the company has become the leader of the premium smartphone segment in India and has maintained at this position for a while now.
In 2019, the most expensive and the most powerful OnePlus smartphone comes in the form of OnePlus 7T pro McLaren Edition, which has been launched in India at Rs 58,999. Just like last year, this year too, the company has launched this handset in partnership with British motor racing team by being inspired by the McLaren Racing Formula 1 car. we spent some time with the device and here is our complete review:
Design
Since the McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 7T Pro handset is a special edition smartphone, it is quite obvious it will come with a different design as compared to the other OnePlus 7T series smartphone.
just like last year`s (2018) OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, this handset too features the iconic McLaren papaya orange edges that is most prominent at the bottom and runs along the sides in a fading design. Thankfully, the orange hue used in this Smartphone adds to the subtlety rather than making it seem gaudy. the same orange tint can be found around the camera rim that houses the triple rear camera setup and the side-mounted alert slider adding to the subtle yet premium design elements of the device.
Another distinctive design feature of the OnePlus 7T pro McLaren Edition is the embossment that is placed underneath the glass. most prominent around the camera setup and going all way down to the McLaren Logo at the bottom, this pattern shifts colours from purple to grey as light strikes the surface. this pattern is said to be inspired from the interiors of the McLaren Speedtail limited-production hybrid sports car and is getting either extreme approval or disapproval. After initially writing it off, the design kind of grew on us. For those who won`t appreciate it, there is a special McLaren case you get in the box that hides the design. The plastic case features carbon fiber pattern around the sides and Alcantara synthetic textile that has a suede-like touch in the centre.
But keeping the design aside, since the McLaren Edition of OnePlus 7T offers a glass back unlike the OnePlus 6T`s carbon-fibre back, the former is quite prone to fingerprints and makes the case more of a necessity than a choice. Moreover, given the price, it makes more sense to use some kind of damage protection, so good on OnePlus for including a special case rather than offering the standard clear case.

Verdict
The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is the most expensive device from the Chinese company yet, and with good reason. There is a fair bit on offer here that sets it apart from the regular device-more RAM, unique looks, special edition accessories, and branding that will appeal to a lot of people.
whether those perks are worth the additional Rs. 5,000 is another matter altogether - we`d suggest spending the extra money only if you are a fan of McLaren, or want something aesthetically unique. Everyone else should pick up the regular OnePlus 7T Pro; 8GB of RAM is more than enough on an android smartphone for now, and the core experience on the more affordable `haze blue` model is largely the same as on the McLaren Edition.
